RTA - Remote Terminal Administration

Centralised Management of mobile devices and networks
For organisations considering the deployment and management of wireless mobility solutions for mission-critical elements of their business operations, Belgravium Technologies RTA software package is an essential system component.

Belgravium Technologies RTA mobility management software enables operational and IT personnel to reduce the complexity and ease the management of their mobile devices and associated network components.

A typical mobile data capture deployment communicates via a choice of wireless connections such as site-wide Wi-Fi or global GPRS communications. Deployments utilising this form of wireless communications can benefit massively from centralised management of the system, particularly if limited technical resource is available on site or in remote locations. This ability to monitor an individual device or operator's performance can facilitate instant on-line training and fault finding.

Installed on a standard PC, either on site, or remotely in an IT department the system allows you to upgrade individual mobile device software. Devices can be upgraded to the latest release of operating system, as well as downloading application software patches and version upgrades.

Remote Control
Where instantaneous technical support from PDS is required, the RTA system allows immediate dial-in by any member of the Belgravium Technologies support team. This eliminates any delays caused by journey time and also gives a clear 'real-time' picture of the system in operation for the engineer.

The PC system can provide a mirror image of the mobile device. The screen display of the remote mobile device appears on the central office PC screen, enabling complete visibility of the device at any point during the operation. This can assist with training issues and speeds up fault analysis.

Event Logging
By default the Belgravium Technologies mobile device is continuously logging key system 'events'. By utilising the RTA software, the wireless system administrator (or Belgravium Technologies engineer) can request a log from the device at any time. The log may be viewed in Microsoft 'Excel' or similar.

Examples of this logging data include; battery performance, wireless performance (Wi-Fi or GPRS), operator input errors and usage time.

App-Lock Supplementary Software
This is a piece of software which allows you to block access to Windows CE set up menu's etc. It effectively stops the operators adjusting settings such as 'IP addresses' that can disrupt the smooth running of an operation. It keeps everything simple. The operator is presented with an initial screen that gives him options of what application or system he / she wants to connect to and nothing more. To access set up configurations requires a password being entered.
